Personal Injury Team
Chris handles all forms of personal injury claims on behalf of individuals who have suffered injuries as a result of an accident and offers specific expertise in handling catastrophic cases including head injuries, paralysis and claims for injuries at birth and medical negligence. In cases of the utmost severity, Chris acts as Receiver to manage the financial affairs on behalf of those clients who are no longer capable of doing so themselves.
Chris offers complementary expertise in handling a range of commercial litigation matters, including property and contractual disputes and also undertakes Defendant work for clients throughout the UK.
Chris is the Head of the firm’s Litigation Services Group which includes the Commercial Litigation, Personal Injury and Debt Recovery Teams. He ensures that the range of expertise within these teams is combined as appropriate to resolve a range of contentious issues that client’s may face.

- Studied Law at Kent University
- Joined Trethowans as a Trainee Solicitor in 1990
- Qualified as a Solicitor in 1992
- Became a Partner in 1997
- Became Joint Head of Personal Injury Team in 1998
- Assumed full responsibility for Personal Injury Team in 2002
- Became Member of the firm’s Board in 2002
- Became Head of the Litigation Services Group in April 2007
