Clare is a Partner and Head of the Personal Injury Claimant Team. Since qualifying as a solicitor in 1997, she has specialised in personal injury and clinical negligence cases and she brings extensive experience and knowledge to the work she undertakes. Clare became an associate in 2005, a senior associate in 2010 and Head of the Team in 2011.
Clare specialises in clinical negligence and complex personal injury claims on behalf of Claimants who have been injured as the result of accidents or medical negligence.
Clare undertakes a wide variety of clinical negligence work including birth injury, orthopaedic, delayed diagnosis and treatment of injuries and diseases (including cancer), gynaecological, surgical, vascular, cardiac and brain injury cases. She acts for both adults and children. Clare has acted for clients who have been injured by negligent hospitals, doctors, dentists and other healthcare professionals. She has a particular interest in cerebral palsy birth injury cases and she acts on behalf of child Claimants with cerebral palsy in cases worth several million pounds.
Clare also acts for clients who have sustained severe injury as a result of road traffic accidents, accidents at work and other types of accidents. Clare's clients are often suffering from devastating injuries including head and spinal injuries.
Clare is a member of the Law Society's clinical negligence accreditation scheme (since 2007) and of the Law Society's personal injury accreditation scheme (since 2003). This demonstrates her expertise in these areas. She is also a member of APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers) at senior litigator level.
