Jane is a specialist and well-regarded licensing lawyer. She advises on liquor licensing law to ensure that clients in the leisure and retail sectors operate legally with the correct licences and also advises on Regulatory Compliance and has defended prosecutions for underage sales.
Jane has acted for clients across a diverse range of sectors including national pub chains, national supermarkets, department store estates, convenience stores, holiday parks, ships as well as a number of smaller independent operators.
She also regularly acts as an advocate in betting cases and advises on national betting and casino work including advice in the Gambling Act 2005.
Jane is a ranked licensing lawyer in Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession and in 2005 was noted as an up and coming lawyer who “fights her corner well in difficult applications while keeping the Magistrates on her side.” Moreover, her impressive personal skills received further praise in the 2006 edition commenting that: “She is very good with clients and puts them at ease."

Jane is a nominated tutor for the British Institute of Innkeeping and has taught the Accredited BIIAB courses
