Richard is experienced in all aspects of residential and commercial property law. As well as handling all aspects of residential conveyancing, including sales and purchases for both freehold and leasehold properties, remortgaging and transfers of equity, Richard also has a particular interest in advising on secured lending matters and re-financing deals, particularly in the leisure / hotel sector. He advises on a variety of property projects, ranging from straightforward business leases, acquisitions and disposals to complex development projects. In addition, Richard specialises in Charity Law and is a member of the Charity Law Association. He acts for existing local and national charities advising on re-organisation, restructuring, constitutions and property matters, including leases, acquisitions and disposals.

  • Governor of King Edward VI School, Southampton.
  • Trustee of a number of other locally-based charities including Southampton Counselling.

Richard likes sailing, listening to music, reading and collecting antiquarian books.
