Yvette Rooke is a Partner in Trethowans and is Head of the Family Team, having joined the firm in November 2009 from a major regional firm where she was a Partner and Family Team Leader.
Her expertise is in divorce and cohabitation law for high net worth individuals. Yvette is experienced in dealing with complex business and pension asset cases, those with an agricultural element and acts for clients with assets offshore. She is an experienced litigator and is accredited by Resolution, the family lawyers' organisation, as a specialist in complex financial cases and in the law relating to couples who live together, but who are not married.
Yvette is also a trained and experienced collaborative lawyer; she has carried out many collaborative cases which are designed to allow a couple in relationship breakdown to reach an amicable, negotiated agreement about their finances, children and life after separation with the help of their lawyers, in a non-adversarial way.
Chambers 2009 rated her as a top ranking matrimonial lawyer, saying that she was lauded for her "no-nonsense, practical and down to earth" approach to cases; Legal 500 rate her as a "leader in her field".
Yvette frequently writes for legal magazines, local press and has carried out radio interviews about important aspects of family law.
