Following advice from the Corporate & Commercial Team at Southampton and Salisbury based Trethowans Solicitors, Dorset Architectural Ironmongers Limited ("DAI"), based in Dorchester, has joined forces with Spiller Architectural Ironmongery Limited ("Spillers"), based in Yeovil.
DAI are among the top suppliers of architectural ironmongery in the UK; providing high quality services to an extensive range of customers and covering a broad variety of sectors. Complimenting the services provided by DAI, Spillers offers locksmith services and supplies locks, door handles and other security products to customers across the UK.
It is hoped that the addition of Spillers will further the impressive growth achieved by DAI over the past two years. To aid this, as part of the transaction, Garry Hewitt and Michael Trowbridge have joined the board of DAI to provide fresh ideas and expertise to the current management team.
Mike Watson, a partner, and solicitors Louise Thompson and Alice Biggar, of the Corporate & Commercial Team at Trethowans worked on the transaction. Mike commented "It was great to work with the team at DAI on this venture and we look forward to seeing the combined management team continue to grow the business following this successful transaction".
“This is a significant development for DAI and will provide a strong platform for growth in the South West and throughout the UK," commented DAI executive director Danny Lillington. "Trethowans have played a vital role here and we are extremely grateful for their expert advice and support."
