Bethany Blamire, an Associate at Trethowans Solicitors, took the plunge, 10,000 feet to be precise, to raise money for CLIC Sargent by jumping out of a plane and doing her first ever sky dive.
CLIC Sargent is a fantastically worthy charity supporting children and young people with cancer. They offer all round care and support, funding specialist nurses and providing family care and support in hospital and in the community.
Bethany was one of 80 brave souls who jumped on the day to raise money for CLIC Sargent – between them raising a total of £40,000 - enough to fund CLIC Haven, a "Home from Home" where parents can stay for free whilst their child is receiving treatment, for an entire year.
Bethany commented on the experience; "I am pleased to report that my plummet towards the earth at 120mph was uneventful. I can only add that falling 5,000 feet in 30 seconds was a bit of a blur, but the view was very enjoyable when things slowed down a little and I could actually breathe again. I want to say a big thank you to everyone who supported me - including gift aid I raised an incredible £1,035 for CLIC Sargent."
