Helen Glatter is a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants, having qualified in 1988. Helen joined Dickinson Manser in 2014 having previously worked in Accountancy Practices across the South West. Helen's role within the Firm is to deal with all income and capital gains tax matters pertaining to individuals, trusts and estates assisting the Private Client Team with probate work. Helen also provides tax advice and assistance to other clients such as the tax implications of buying or selling properties.
Examples of how Helen’s helped clients include
- Preparing trust accounts and tax return to enable trustees to determine amounts available to distribute to beneficiaries whilst complying with their obligations to file Tax Returns with HMRC
- Prepared Tax Returns for submission to HMRC to finalise individuals’s tax affairs to the date of their death and during the period of administration of their estate. Also assisting their bereaved spouse by preparing their own Tax Returns to maximise tax repayments to the family
- Providing tax advice to clients to minimise the capital gains tax payable on the sale or property
Away from the office
Helen enjoys crafting. In particular she is learning new needlework and embroidery techniques and teaching those techniques to others so that old skills are kept alive and given a modern twist.
