Juliet is a Senior Associate in our Commercial Property team in Salisbury.
Juliet grew up in Winchester and graduated from the University of Cambridge with a degree in land economy before studying law for two years at the College of Law in Guildford and then moving to Bristol. Juliet qualified as a solicitor in 2000 having trained at Bevan Ashford Solicitors in Bristol. She worked for Bevan Ashford and its successor Bevan Brittan LLP from September 1998 until April 2017 and joined Trethowans’ Salisbury Commercial Property Team in May 2017.
Juliet has considerable experience of freehold acquisitions and disposals, including acting for various NHS trusts in respect of the sale of former hospital sites and for private companies in the sale and purchase of commercial and industrial premises. She has also dealt extensively with all aspects of leasehold property, acting for both landlords and tenants in both the public and private sectors.
Law is something in Juliet’s blood, being at least the fifth generation of her family to practise as a solicitor!
Examples of how Juliet has helped clients:
- Helped an NHS client achieve completion of a sale of part of a hospital site at a price of over £25M by the end of that Trust’s financial year end, to ensure that it would not lose vital funding for the following year.
- Acted for a Russell Group University on a purchase of a site crucial to its redevelopment plans, completing the multi-million pound purchase within the tight timescale stipulated by the seller.
- Acted for a private company for over 15 years in relation to its commercial property portfolio meaning that, from her hands-on knowledge, Juliet was able to answer ad hoc questions raised by the client quickly and cost effectively.
- Her clients commend her for her practical and pragmatic approach, her commercial acumen and her responsiveness.
Away from the office...

She also enjoys foreign travel, especially to Greece (with a particular emphasis on the Southern Peloponnese) and Italy.
At home, she enjoys cooking and gardening, and is a keen watcher of rugby and tennis. She also enjoys playing bridge and reading in her spare time.
