Karen is an Associate and Head of the Licensing Department having worked for Trethowans since 1987.

Karen is a specialist licensing lawyer with over 20 years experience.    Karen is responsible for managing the licensing requirements of several national restaurant chains and can assist with all types of premises licence applications including new applications, variations to terms and conditions and/or premises plan for existing premises licences, minor variations, DPS variations and applications for Personal Licences.  With many operators adopting a continental café style operation with external seating Karen also has extensive experience of applying for pavement café licences nationwide.

Legal 500 (2017) recognise Karen Lush as the department head and "is adept at handling café pavement licensing issues and entertainment licensing applications."

Karen is a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives as well as an affiliate member of the British Institute of Innkeeping and an Associate Member of the Institute of Licensing.
