Mark Daniels is a Partner, Head of the Poole office and of the Poole Residential Property Team. He is also a member of the firm’s Board.
Mark qualified as a solicitor in 1986 with Dickinson Manser and was that firm’s Managing Partner until its merger with Trethowans in 2015.
Mark has wide experience in both residential and commercial property matters, but now focuses on high end and complex residential property work, often involving redevelopment and planning issues.
Mark’s client base includes property developers and funders, landlords with property portfolios and high net worth individuals, both local and out of the area looking to purchase high end residential property, either as a main or holiday home.
Examples of how Mark has helped clients:
Mark has helped a number of people sell their properties at prices in excess of their normal sale value, conditional on planning permission being obtained for redevelopment. He has also acted on numerous land purchases for residential development and on the subsequent sales of the finished properties.
Mark acts for several generations of a number of families who have been clients for over 25 years, but through his reputation and local estate agent contacts, continues to attract new clients. Clients’ comments from Client Satisfaction Questionnaires include: -
- “Top service given by Mark Daniels!”
- “Mark is always ready to listen and advise”
- “We were kept up to date all the way through our dealings with Mark and were very pleased with his efforts”
- “Mark has a good reputation with estate agents”
- "Mark understood and took onboard our challenges from our first telephone conversation. Absolutely the best client service experience."

Mark also loves travelling to historic places and battlefields and reads widely on many periods of history, particularly ancient and medieval. Mark is married with a teenage son, with whom he regularly plays tennis, and lives near Poole.
