Matthew joined Trethowans in November 2013 and is a partner and solicitor specialising in all aspects of mid-market corporate insolvency. He has considerable experience of complex restructuring and bankruptcy work, including the successful re-structuring of a number of professional partnerships and other businesses.
Matt’s clients are predominately Insolvency Practitioners, however, he also advises lenders, businesses, investors and shareholders. To compliment his legal work, Matt is also a licensed insolvency practitioner.
In addition to the above Matt is a co-author of 'Bankruptcy and Divorce' [Jordans] and is a Fellow of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals.
Matt has been recognised for many years as a top ranked lawyer for restructuring and insolvency work.
Matt has been recommended by Legal 500 (2017) as being ‘very knowledgeable and proactive’ and is experienced in restructuring and advisory work for distressed businesses as well as corporate, partnership and individual insolvency procedures.
