Christmas cheer at countryside quiz

11 Dec 2012

On Tuesday Trethowans Solicitors once again hosted their popular annual Christmas countryside and agriculture quiz. Twelve teams from businesses across the Salisbury region gathered at Salisbury Guildhall to challenge for the much sought after prize of the 'Pig' trophy. The teams tackled eight rounds including topics on theme tunes, sporting films, the Olympics, and slightly trickier subjects including constellations and handbags!

The competition was tough and going into the final round any number of the teams could have secured the prize. In the end, the final round consisting of general knowledge saw Symonds & Sampson cross the finishing line in first place, with Savills coming second.

Symonds & Sampson were presented with champagne and the infamous ‘Pig’ trophy in recognition of their victory.

Marcus Thorpe, Partner and head of the agriculture and rural property team, as well as host for the evening, commented about the event, “The quiz was a great success and it was wonderful to get local businesses together and get into the Christmas spirit. Symonds & Sampson were well deserved victors and we were delighted to present them with the trophy. I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all the team at Trethowans."
