Confidence drives Trethowans’ recruitment push

Trethowans has offered permanent jobs to all of its current second year trainees qualifying in September 2019 as it works to create the next generation of legal experts.

The company has also opened the doors for new trainees to join the firm for the next two years, highlighting its confidence for the future despite the Brexit uncertainty which is continuing to dominate headlines.

Training Partner Lucy Gleisner said: “We’re very much looking ahead to the long-term future of Trethowans and without doubt having the right team is vital to our success. That’s why we’re working now to nurture the talent of tomorrow and we’re pleased to offer permanent roles to all of our current second year trainees.”

Reflecting on the impact of Brexit on growth Chris Whiteley, Managing Partner added: “Inevitably there’s a great deal of uncertainty around the UK’s withdrawal from the EU. However, we’re positive about the future whatever the outcome and are still very confident that we will continue to grow. Having the right team in place will allow us to do just that.”

Trethowans’ current second year trainees, Gerrard Tin, Zach Rooney and Kira McKane all began their two year traineeships with Trethowans in 2017 and were given the opportunity to train in a number of legal practice areas over the course of two years. They will go on to start their new permanent roles in Bournemouth, Salisbury and Southampton in September.

Gerrard will be joining the Banking Team based in Trethowans’ Bournemouth office and Zach will qualify into the Commercial Property Team based in Trethowans’ Salisbury office. Kira will be joining the Employment Team in Trethowans’ Southampton office.
