Industry Accreditations for Family Laywers

Two family law experts from Trethowans have received a top industry accreditation.

Kimberley Davies, based in Poole and Bournemouth, and Juliet Mayhew, based in Salisbury and Winchester, have been awarded accredited status for their mediation practice.

This achievement is particularly important as mediation is something Trethowans strongly advocates as an approach to solving family disputes.

Kimberley says: “We feel really passionately about helping couples work through their separation in a non-confrontational way for the benefit of the whole family. There is no doubt that mediation can resolve conflict and foster a positive co-parenting relationship post separation in a way that adversarial court litigation will never achieve.”

Juliet adds: “Mediation is less confrontational, less stressful, less expensive and less damaging in every respect. It offers couples an opportunity to move on from their relationship and to continue to work together constructively, to the immense benefit of their children.”

Both Kimberley and Juliet went through a vigorous assessment process to achieve the Family Mediation Accreditation, which is a national quality mark for qualified specialists in family mediation.

Andrew Mercer, who heads up the family law team at Trethowans, said: “We’re thrilled that Kimberley and Juliet have achieved this important accreditation. For our clients, it’s proof that they are in the very best hands at what can quite often be a difficult time.”

Among the family issues Trethowans are able to help with are divorce, co-parenting, co-habiting, surrogacy, adoption and family financial agreements.
