Trethowans acts on the sale of Armstrongs Builders Merchants
The Corporate Team at Trethowans has acted on the sale of Armstrongs Builders Merchants to Anglesey based builders merchants, Huws Gray.
Armstrongs, a family owned business, has been trading since 2003 when it was founded by Michael and Deborah Armstrong and is based in Low Bentham, Lancashire. It has built up a fantastic reputation with a large showroom and warehouse serving the local trades and DIY in the area.
Dewi Morris (Huws Gray Director) said: “Following the integration of Penrith Building Supplies we feel very privileged to add another quality merchant into our branch network in the north west and are looking forward to working with a young energetic team. We have exciting plans for the remainder of 2018 as we continue on the acquisition trail.”
The corporate aspects of the transaction were dealt with by Senior Associate, Jamie Earley, who was supported by Laura Towey (Commercial Property), Kathryn Casey Evans (Employment) and Sarah Wheadon (Regulatory and Compliance).
Jamie Earley said: “We were delighted to assist Michael and Deborah with the sale and it was a real pleasure to work with them on the transaction. Armstrongs has a great reputation and I wish both the sellers and Huws Gray success in the future.”
Michael Armstrong said of Trethowans: “We have been impressed on how Jamie and his team handled the sale of our business. There were no hiccups; it was just plane sailing. Trethowans were truly professional. Thanks, once again.”
