Trethowans gain Law Society’s new Conveyancing Quality Standard
Hot on the heels of being nominated for "The Estate Agents Conveyancing Firm of the Year", the Law Society have just awarded the Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) accreditation to Trethowans, a premier law firm in the South. This is an accreditation from the Law Society and is only awarded to residential conveyancing practices demonstrating extremely high standards of service.
The accreditation followed a rigorous assessment by the Law Society requiring practices to undergo a strict assessment. The CQS was introduced by the Law Society to promote high standards in the home buying process.
Law Society President John Wotton has said of CQS: “CQS improves efficiency with common, consistent standards and service levels and enables consumers to recognise practices that provide a quality residential conveyancing service. Buying a home is one of the largest purchases anyone will make in their lifetime, so it is essential that it is done to the highest standard by a solicitor. There are many different conveyancing service providers out there, making it difficult for home buyers to identify those which can ensure a safe and efficient level of service”.
Tim Higham, who is a Partner and head of the firm's residential property team, commenting on the accreditation said: " We are delighted that the work we do for our clients has been recognised by the CQS award. It signals to home buyers, sellers and anyone seeking a property lawyer the excellent conveyancing service that we offer. Trethowans’ focus will always be to offer the highest quality legal service. The quality of conveyancing firms in the market place varies drastically, but the CQS accreditation will make it much easier for the public, estate agents and property professionals to know who they can trust and rely on to offer efficiency and to deliver prompt service”.
