Trethowans honoured at Dorset Legal Awards

04 Mar 2019

Law firm Trethowans has added to its growing trophy cabinet after winning two awards at the Dorset Legal Awards last week.

The firm picked up the Family Team of the Year award, as well as the Personal Injury/Clinical Negligence Team of the Year award.

It’s the latest in a line of successes for the growing firm, which still retains the title of the fastest growing law firm in the UK with a turnover up to £24m.

John Hall, partner and head Trethowans’ Personal Injury team, said: “We are so pleased to have won the Personal Injury Team of the Year 2019 at the Dorset Legal Awards held at the BIC on Friday. This is a fantastic achievement and reflects on all of the hard work we have been doing to help our clients with serious and catastrophic injuries caused by accidents, clinical negligence and exposure to asbestos in the county. We have great people doing great work and I am very proud of the team.”

Andrew Mercer, head of Trethowans’ team of family solicitors, added: “I am extremely proud to be a part of this exceptional Family Team which has been rightly recognised by the judges for the quality of service, expertise and holistic approach that is shown to all its clients.”

While the awards focus on Dorset, where Trethowans has two offices (in Bournemouth and Poole), the accolades reflect the work of the law firm’s teams across the entire region.

The firm supports thousands of businesses and individuals, providing advice and support on a wide range of legal issues. Its reputation as one of the UK’s top 150 law firms has seen it count international and national household brands such as Ladbrokes and Pizza Hut among its clients.

Trethowans has made its mark on Dorset since opening its two offices in the county. As well as supporting local businesses and people through its legal services, it also works closely with local groups and organisations such as Poole Pirates and Bournemouth Pavilion.
