Welcome Boost for Children’s Hospice

22 Dec 2016

Children and young people at a Hampshire hospice have received a boost this Christmas.

As part of our 150 good deeds we have donated a wealth of toys to Naomi House & Jacksplace, which provides respite and palliative care to children and young people with life-limiting illnesses from its base in Sutton Scotney, near Winchester.

Charlotte West from the charities committee visited the hospice to deliver the goodies.

Charlotte said: “What’s striking when you visit Naomi House is that how, despite the difficult circumstances that families are in, the staff have created such a happy and fun environment for the children. It’s so important at this time of year and we’re in awe of what a fantastic job everyone at Naomi House does. We hope the toys bring a smile to those staying at and visiting the hospice this festive season.”

Jill McDonagh, Corporate Fundraiser at Naomi House & Jacksplace said: “Christmas is a busy and important time here at the hospices, and our care teams will be busy helping families make magical memories that last a lifetime. We are indebted to Trethowans for helping to ensure Santa has enough toys for the children and young people staying with us throughout the Christmas period.”
