Andrew is a Chartered Legal Executive in the Insurance and Regulatory team at Trethowans. He has worked in the insurance litigation field since 2014 and joined Trethowans in 2016.

Andrew receives instructions to act on litigated and pre-litigated cases primarily arising out of road traffic accidents, but also undertakes work involving employers’ liability and public liability. Andrew undertakes Claimant and Defendant work. Andrew’s work is predominantly from self-insuring fleet businesses, but he does also act for domestic and foreign insurance companies. He also assists the Data Protection Team on pre-litigation and litigated work.

Andrew deals with cases involving personal injury (including catastrophic injury and fatalities), credit hire and vehicle losses. He also assists other members of the team with catastrophic and complex injury claims.

  • Running a test case for a client where they had been presented with upwards of 50 claims where it was successfully argued that insufficient documentation had been provided by the Third Party Insurer, leading to discontinuance of multiple claims.
  • Successful in recovering over £100,000 of client’s outlay following a road traffic accident, including repairs and hire.
