Julia’s licensing experience started in the 1980s as a Clerk to the Licensing Committee at Bournemouth Magistrates’ Court. She was the in house licensing lawyer for a major pub company for several years, flanked by periods as a solicitor and partner in firms both large and small, and finally as principal in her own practice. She has been a Consultant with the licensing team at Trethowans since 2010.
Julia has a broad range of clients from individuals to National enterprises across the full range of entertainment offer, including Premier League football clubs, hotels, late night venues, restaurants, delivery outlets etc.
Julia is ranked Band 3 in Chambers (2022) and is a Recommended Lawyer in the Legal 500 2022 guide.
