Rebecca is an Associate in the Agriculture and Rural Property Team. She joined Trethowans in 2015.
Rebecca has a wealth of experience gained over many years working in agricultural and residential property. Rebecca acts for individuals, companies and banks and specialises in the sale and purchase of farms and estates.
Rebecca is named in the Legal 500 as a key agricultural lawyer.
Notable work highlights
- Purchase of 2,000 acre estate from overseas seller comprising five tenanted farms, woodland and 17 residential dwellings;
- Purchase of 800 acre farm involving advice on tenancies, planning and easements;
- Sale of 800 acre farm involving overage, pre-emption, variation of easement, surrender of Agricultural Holdings Act tenancy and sporting licence;
- Sales of farmland by family partnership including shooting lease, deed of variation and mortgage to partnership;
- Refinance of farm with various residential, commercial and agricultural buildings;
- Purchase of country house including separate garden house and grounds, subject to a contract race. Exchange of contracts required within 10 working days and achieved in 6;
- Lease of fishing rights covering numerous Land Registry titles owned by two trusts.
