I am a Partner in the Agriculture and Rural Property Team and have more than 20 years experience in the legal property sector. I trained and worked in London for 10 years before moving to Salisbury, where I began working at Wilsons LLP and spent 12 years in their Commercial and Residential department before moving to Trethowans in September 2016.
I specialise in transactions which include high value Country homes and London properties (having gained extensive knowledge and experience particularly with Leasehold property transactions whilst based in London). I act for High Net Worth UK and International individuals, Trusts, Estates, Property Developers and UK and Offshore Companies.
I handle a wide range of property matters, including acquisitions and disposals of complex Freehold and Leasehold properties, including New Builds, property partitions and secured lending. I routinely deal with transactions which are time sensitive and work with my clients to achieve their desired outcome.
I have been recommended by the Legal 500 (2017).
"Thank you so much for your patience and trust in us. You have been amazing to see this through." - Mr & Mrs S
Areas of Expertise
I recently acted in a purchase of a Country house where a designated public footpath traversed the boundary wall and double brick garage, thereby obstructing the route of the public footpath. I obtained an indemnity policy covering obstruction of rights by providing the insurers with a statutory declaration sworn by the Seller, stating that no attempt had been made by the general public to use the footpath for more than 20 years together with the consent of the adjacent landowner for an application to be made for a formal diversion of the obstructed footpath.
The Buyer was advised that if left unresolved the Council could take enforcement action for the wall and the garage to be removed to enable unrestricted access over the designated footpath.
It was assessed that if this occurred it would result in a reduction in the value of the property by approx. £75,000.

Away from the office
In my spare time I enjoy country walks, tennis, skiing and generally keeping fit, but above all I love to spend time with my friends and family and, particularly at weekends, supporting my son’s sporting activities.
