Does my conveyancer need to see my survey report?
A survey is your private health check report, guiding you as to whether you should buy the property that you have viewed yourself and made an offer on.
You are always advised to have the best possible survey, and it should be carried out by a Chartered Surveyor.
However, your property lawyer is not an expert in survey matters and will not be able to comment on your survey report, and it is unlikely that they will have visited the property.
Any specific questions that you might have resulting from your surveyor’s report should be raised with your surveyor.
That said, your property lawyer can be asked to raise enquiries and provide further advice upon the ‘Comments for the legal adviser’ section of your survey report.
