Andrew’s main areas of expertise are Family Law, Divorce, Separation, Financial Provision, Civil Partnerships and other related issues. He is particularly adept at handling complex, high net worth settlements which involve family partnerships, businesses, farms, foreign property or trusts. He also advises clients on Pre-Nuptial Agreements and all issues relating to children.
Andrew strongly advocates the benefits of a no Court, non confrontational approach to family law – especially in the resolution and mediation of issues which involve both finance and children. He is a long standing member of Resolution (ADR) and experienced Collaborative Lawyer.

Areas of Expertise
Represented wife in highly acrimonious, initially, defended Divorce. Complex financial asset base including farm and investment properties. The case involved inherited wealth with a preliminary issue as to the children’s interests. Issues of capacity. The need for professional valuation and CGT calculations. A negotiated settlement was eventually reached enabling the parties to retain their respective properties, but with the sale of farmland to satisfy debts and liabilities thereby avoiding what would otherwise have been a 3 day fully contested Final Hearing.

Away from the office
A die hard season ticket holder with Bath Rugby. Previously a competitive swimmer, still undertaking long distance sea swims. Has a passion for live music and can be spotted at numerous festivals and concerts throughout the year. Together with his wife, Sharon, Andrew owns an eventing horse; Platoon de L/Hocre that has competed as a CCI 3 Day Eventer and a share in Duke’s Sunny Boy together with Giovanni Ugolotti, an Italian International Event Rider. Andrew also enjoys walking with his three Labradors; Brewster, Archie and Yogi as well as surfing on the north Cornish coast.
