Amy Trench is a Senior Associate in our Family team and a qualified mediator, offering an empathetic and child-focused approach to resolving family matters. A member of the Family Mediation Council, Amy brings over 10 years of experience as a practicing solicitor, which enhances her mediation work with valuable legal expertise.
Amy mediates on a range of family matters, including helping to resolve arrangements for the children, financial settlements as part of marriage breakdown, disputes between unmarried couples, and matters involving grandparents. She is skilled in shuttle mediation for situations where parties prefer not to be in the same room. Amy’s calm and holistic approach helps clients work towards practical and mutually agreeable solutions. When agreements are reached through mediation, she can prepare a Memorandum of Understanding to outline the terms.
Amy works closely with external advisors such as financial planners and life coaches, drawing on her network to provide additional support where needed.
Amy can also advise in situations involving domestic abuse and is a Dragonfly champion, meaning she is trained to link to domestic abuse support agencies where required, and prioritises vulnerable adults and children’s safeguarding and welfare. She can also advise on nuptial agreements, or a cohabitation agreement, helping couples plan for the future with confidence.
