After having previously worked as the company secretary for an asset manager, Sarasin & Partners, in the City of London, Nicola qualified as a solicitor in early 2022 and joined the Corporate team at Trethowans in 2023.
With experience in both transactional and advisory work, including acquisitions and disposals, reorganisations, shareholders’ agreements and capital reductions, Nicola advises both companies and partnerships, as well as individuals.
Notable work highlights
- Acting for the seller on the sale of a hotel business to a regional brewery making a number of acquisitions as part of an estate expansion plan.
- Acting on a group reorganisation and then sale of a shared office space provider.
- Advising an investor on the creation and issuance of convertible loan notes to facilitate a further round of funding for a company in the property developer funding sector.
