This season marks the ninth season that Trethowans has proudly supported the Poole Pirates. The Pirates were founded back in 1948 and are managed by past rider and former Great Britain Team Manager Neil Middleditch.
Over the past 7 decades, the Poole Pirates have won many trophies with the most recent being the Knock Out Cup in October, on top of having already won the Speedway Championship for the third time in four years and having also won the BSN Series. To celebrate the continued support, Trethowans host an evening as fixture sponsors, each year, where guests and staff have a tour of the pits, meet the riders and watch the racing from the centre green of the track. The Trethowans team also attend all Pirates home fixtures at their ground, Poole Stadium.
