We realise the importance of having downtime and getting to know our colleagues beyond the office. You will find plenty of opportunity to mix with each other whether it’s over lunch, or at one of our firm-wide social events. You are welcome to get involved as much, or as little, as you choose.
Our Social Committee organises several events throughout the year, including a family event in the Summer, a Partners vs staff Rounders match, and a Christmas party.
In addition, there are regular opportunities to get to know your colleagues better by attending one of the regular office lunches, Management Q&A sessions or Friday drinks.

Our internal TOP (‘Trethowans Opportunities for Progression’) programme provides an achievable framework which sets out the criteria for promotion from newly qualified to Associate, Senior Associate and Partner.
We also actively encourage and support the development of all our staff, including support staff and those in operational support roles. Whether that is supporting a Legal Secretary to achieve a Paralegal qualification or a member of the operations team to progress within their specialised field.
