Trethowans donates over £22,000 to local charities across Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset

Trethowans is proud to announce the donation of over £22,000, split amongst its three chosen charities across Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset. The charities have been supported by Trethowans since 2022, reflecting a collective commitment to supporting local causes.
In their second year of supporting the charities, Trethowans raised £22,186.55, with donations going to Mountbatten Hampshire, Salisbury Hospice and Dorset Mind.
£12,045.54 was donated to Mountbatten Hampshire, with a significant amount raised by our team at the ABP Southampton Marathon event on 7 April 2024. This significant contribution helps sustain their crucial work in providing compassionate care and support to patients and their families during end-of-life care.
Salisbury Hospice received a generous donation of £7,395.55. On 8 September 2024, a team of Trethowans runners will also take part in the New Forest Marathon Event, raising additional funds and awareness for their essential services in providing specialist palliative care to local people with life-limiting conditions.
Dorset Mind, another of our chosen charities, was the recipient of £7,395.55. Our donations help bolster their efforts in promoting mental health awareness and providing vital support services to those in need within our community.
Additionally, Paul Longman, Partner and Head of Commercial Property at Trethowans, participated in the Vosges Challenge 2023, riding just over 550 miles from Ostende to Belfort. Paul successfully raised an additional £4,000.
Maxine Read heads up the CSR Committee at Trethowans and commented: “This year marks the third year of support for our chosen charities. Our team has shown incredible dedication to fundraising, with efforts continuing into 2024. In May, a Trethowans team took on the Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge, walking 34km to 100km along the breathtaking coast. Their efforts raised another £3,300 for Dorset Mind, a fantastic start to our third year of support.”
Trethowans commitment to corporate social responsibility was further highlighted this year when our partners participated in a CSR day supporting Diverse Abilities, Dorset’s disability charity supporting children and adults with profound physical and learning disabilities.
