Marnie is a Solicitor in our Banking & Finance team. After qualifying in 2022, Marnie began her legal career in Corporate law, where she built a strong foundation advising on M&A transactions and providing general corporate counsel to a broad client base, ranging from SMEs to multinational organisations.
In 2025, Marnie made a strategic transition into Banking & Finance to expand her commercial expertise and align with her long-term career ambitions. Since moving into this practice area, she has been involved in a variety of finance transactions, including acquisition finance and general corporate lending, working closely with both borrowers and lenders.
Her combined experience in Corporate and Banking law enables her to take a well-rounded, commercially focused approach to transactions. Clients value her sharp attention to detail, technical ability and practical approach to complex transactions.
Before qualifying in 2022, Marnie completed her Legal Practice Course and Masters in Law, Business and Management at the University of Law (London) achieving a Distinction in both.
Beyond her role at Trethowans, Marnie serves as Deputy Vice Present of the Dorset Law Society. In this leadership role, she supports the President and contributes to the society’s strategic direction, helping to drive initiatives that support the local legal community.
