A team from leading Dorset-based law firm Trethowans is preparing to take on a breathtaking fundraising challenge this summer, abseiling down one of Bournemouth’s most iconic landmarks to support Lewis-Manning Hospice Care.

Taking place in July 2026, the event will see participants descend the 10-storey Ocean 80 building, stepping far outside their comfort zones to raise vital funds for the much-loved local charity.

Trethowans is proud to be supporting Lewis-Manning HospiceCare, which provides exceptional palliative and end-of-life care for people living with life-limiting illnesses, as well as invaluable support for their carers, families, and loved ones.

The firm’s team has signed up to the challenge as part of the charity’s organised abseil event, which invites supporters to take part in a thrilling experience while making a meaningful difference. The team includes Kimberley Davies, Adam Scott, Richard Dollimore, Harry Dancer, Luke Barker, Bethanie Watson, Isobel Leigh-Warren, Gemma Mumford-Burne and Sarah Cobb.

Kimberley Davies, a partner in the Family team, said: “We’re stepping out of our comfort zones for a brilliant cause. Lewis-Manning Hospice Care delivers incredible support at some of life’s most difficult moments, and we’re proud to be raising funds to help them continue their vital work.”

Funds raised from the abseil will help ensure Lewis-Manning can keep providing compassionate, specialist care, bringing comfort, dignity, and even moments of sunshine into patients’ lives when it matters most.

The Trethowans team is calling on colleagues, clients and the wider community to show their support by sponsoring their efforts. Every donation, no matter the size, will directly contribute to sustaining the hospice’s essential services.
