Mihiri qualified in 2009 in a Southampton firm and joined Trethowans in 2015 and now heads up the Private Client team.

Mihiri is ranked in Band 1 in the Chambers High Net Worth Guide 2025 and as a Leading Partner in the Legal 500 2026 guide. 

Mihiri is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners having qualified with distinction.

Notable work highlights

All client work is confidential but Mihiri’s work includes:

  • Acting as an independent administrator/trustee in contested probate/trust matters and finding solutions to bring the matters to a conclusion despite the issues between the beneficiaries.
  • Advising clients on how to mitigate their tax liabilities including the use of deeds of variation, ensuring clients are using all their exemptions, the use of trusts and tax-efficient wills. One notable case involved tax savings of over £350,000 every ten years for the client.
  • Succession planning for family businesses including farming business.
  • Acting as a professional executor, trustee, deputy and attorney. As a deputy this includes acting for those who have received significant personal injury settlements.
