Mihiri is an exceptionally experienced private client specialist who qualified in 2009 at a Southampton firm before joining Trethowans in 2015. She now leads the firm’s highly regarded Private Client team.

Recognised for her depth of expertise, Mihiri is ranked in Band 1 in the Chambers High Net Worth Guide 2025 and acknowledged as a Leading Partner in The Legal 500 2026 guide. She is also a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

Over the course of her career, Mihiri has developed a significant practice advising high‑net‑worth individuals, families, business owners and trustees on complex estate planning and succession matters.

Mihiri also acts as a professional executor, trustee, attorney and deputy, and is also appointed as a Panel Deputy. This includes acting for individuals who have received substantial personal injury awards.

Notable work highlights

All client work is confidential but Mihiri’s work includes:

  • Acting as an independent administrator/trustee in contested probate/trust matters and finding solutions to bring the matters to a conclusion despite the issues between the beneficiaries.
  • Advising clients on how to mitigate their tax liabilities including the use of deeds of variation, ensuring clients are using all their exemptions, the use of trusts and tax-efficient wills. One notable case involved tax savings of over £350,000 every ten years for the client.
  • Succession planning for family businesses including farming business.
  • Acting as a professional executor, trustee, deputy and attorney. As a deputy this includes acting for those who have received significant personal injury settlements.
